November 7, 2023: Constitutional amendment election
On Tuesday, November 7, Texans will vote on 14 proposed amendments to the state constitution. To put a legislatively referred constitutional amendment before voters, a two-thirds (66.67%) vote is required in both the Texas State Senate and the Texas House of Representatives.
On September 14 and October 5, the Kendall County Republican Party held Forums to review the 14 constitutional amendments. Participants joined in a straw poll after each presentation to get the Pulse of the Party on these amendments. The propositions are presented with a pro/con comment including the strength of each vote. November 14 Meeting
Our November 14 meeting will feature guest speaker Jason Isaac, a Director of Life:Powered, a national initiative of the Texas Public Policy Foundation to raise America’s energy IQ.
Prior to joining Life:Powered, Jason, a fourth-generation native Texan, was elected four times as the State Representative for Hays and Blanco counties in the Texas Hill Country. He served on the Energy Resources and Environmental Regulation committees, among others. During his eight years of service, he successfully passed legislation to reduce taxes, strengthen election integrity, improve public education, preserve Second Amendment rights, protect local groundwater, and protect private property rights.
Jason is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and serves as a high school lacrosse coach. He lives in Hays County with his wife, Carrie, and two sons.

December 12 Officer Installation & Holiday Party
On December 12 we will install our club officers as well as celebrate the Christmas and Hanukkah holiday seasons.
As in years past, we will participate in the Blue Santa Toy Drive, so please plan to bring an upwrapped gift or monetary donation.
